Theo Paphitis SBS Award!
On Monday 13th June 2022, we were thrilled to be announced as Theo Paphitis #SBS Award Winners!
Every Sunday, small businesses around the country pitch their business via Twitter or Instagram to win a spot in Theo's SBS Business Network. We entered our tweet on the Sunday, and on Monday it was retweeted by Theo himself to his 500,000 followers!
This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase Kent and champion other small businesses in the area, and we're so excited about what the future holds now! We'll be picking up our official certificate in February 2023 from Theo, but in the meantime expect lots more exciting developments! Thank you so much to all of our amazing supporters - we couldn't do it without you!
SW Londoner
In August 2021 we were interviewed by the lovely Ella Sagar as part of her feature on "Crafting a Business over Lockdown"!
This brilliant article also features other small businesses who decided to turn their passion for crafting into a business during the 2020 pandemic. It was an amazing opportunity to get our own story out there, and we're really proud of how far we've come since we started in August 2020!
Lockdown was tough for everyone, but it's so inspiring seeing all of the success stories which have come from it.
Pop over to the website and read the article in full here.
SNAZZ MAG
In July 2021 we were proud to be featured in the very first issue of the amazing Snazz Mag!
This brilliant magazine has been designed especially for artists and crafters, and unlike other craft magazines which are filled with paid adverts, Snazz Mag features artists and small businesses for FREE.
It is packed to the brim with interesting articles, and I particularly love the social media checklist pages - if you run a small craft business you need to get this magazine.
It's available every quarter and you can follow the Instagram page and find out how to become a featured business here.
VSS365 Anthology: Volume One
In September 2019 my very short story was lucky enough to be selected from thousands of entrants to feature in the first VSS365 Anthology.
#vss365 began life on Twitter as a word prompt writing challenge, encouraging writers to write something every single day, learn new words and fit an interesting story into the space of a single tweet, which is challenging, to say the least!
It's such a pleasure to be featured amongst such wonderful authors, I'm so humbled to have been selected.
You can find the anthology over on Amazon, and it's free to read if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. You'll find my little story with the prompt "Contact".
#QUEENOF GHOSTS
In April 2022, Kent Coast Ghosts was proud to be awarded the #QueenOf winner and crowned #QueenOf Ghosts!
This award is gifted every Thursday on Twitter by Aqua Design Group who are Theo Paphitis' #SBS Winners.
It's not only recognition of your business achievements, but also gives you access to an exclusive winner's business directory full of amazingly talented people, and we're so proud that we can now be a part of that with Kent Coast Ghosts as well as embRUDEry!
#SMARTSOCIAL AWARD
In August 2021 we were proud to be awarded the #SmartSocial award for our savvy use of social media!
Run by Market Me and supported by Dylan from Aqua Design Group, this award is given every Sunday on Twitter to businesses who pitch their social media savviness!
We're so pleased our efforts have not gone unnoticed, and thanks to everyone who likes, shares and comments on all of our social media content!
#QUEENOF FABRIC ART
On Thursday 17th June 2021, The embRUDEry Store was proud to be awarded the #QueenOf winner and crowned #QueenOf Fabric Art!

It's not only recognition of your business achievements, but also gives you access to an exclusive winner's business directory full of amazingly talented people, and we're so proud that we can now be a part of that!
THE PLATYPUS - BY VICTORIA COLLINS
In 2018 I published my very first fiction story for children; The Platypus!
It's a ridiculous rhyming story with Spike Milligan vibes and has a whole load of inspiration, from Julia Donaldson to The Big Rock Candy Mountain song, but ultimately, it's a story about how being different isn't always a bad thing, and emphasises the strength of friendships, as well as teaching children about the platypus and some entertaining words!
It was inspired my time as a teaching assistant with children with special educational needs, and initially the plan was to have a whole series but I still haven't got around to writing more yet!
You can read it FREE on Kindle Unlimited. Hoping to have my horror novel finished at some point - that will definitely NOT be for children! Watch this space...
