It's an early Freebie Friday, but for a good reason... You'll all be aware of the conflict in the Ukraine at the moment. Many businesses are using this as an opportunity to exploit the situation by donating a small amount of profit from certain sales. I applaud anyone who raises money, and I understand that people also have businesses to run, but I'm not sure that this is the way to go about it.
For that reason, I created this free pattern. Stitching helped me so much through lockdown. It gave me a chance to sit and contemplate the situation, to sort things out in my head and, most importantly, to take a bit of time out from the outside world. I hope that by downloading this pattern, you're also able to take some mindful contemplation time and perhaps escape for a few moments whilst you stitch.
You could sell your finished creations and donate all of the proceeds to a charity who have set up an appeal for the conflict, or perhaps gift it on to a friend to show your support during this difficult time. Whatever you choose to do - please don't choose to profit.
You can donate to the Red Cross Ukraine appeal here:
Don't forget to support Ukrainian sellers too! Pop over to Etsy and use the filters to find "Digital Downloads" and items from "Ukraine". These could be anything from patterns to digital art. You won't have to wait for a physical product as it will be sent straight to your device, and the seller will receive the funds almost immediately.
