In March of 1831 Richard Faulkner Taylor, who was just 13 years old, was walking in the vicintity of Blue Bell Hill in Kent when he met with a familiar acquaintance, 14 year old John Bell and his brother James. Bell and Faulkner, although not friends, were well-known to each other along the route and began walking together. Witnesses saw the boys as they passed through the area, with the last sighting being at Bridgewood Cottage, where Taylor was seen bending down as if to pick up something from the floor...
Taylor's remains were not found until May that same year. His throat had been cut and his money taken. He was found wearing a a cap and a blue jacket, close to Bridge Woods. After some investigation, John Bell was convicted of the murder. He became the first child to be hanged in front of the newly built Maidstone prison, and the last child to be executed in Britain. Could Taylor be the Blue Boy which is said to wander the area..?
The Blue Boy is a metallic blue and black crackle effect ghost, finished with a satin UV resistant sealant.
Each Kent Coast Ghost is carefully handcrafted from clay and goes through several processes which include drying, sanding, sealing, painting, and finally varnishing, (dependent on the final finish). We don't use moulds to create our ghosts - every feature is added by hand using traditional clay tools - so every single one has its own unique features. Some of our ghosts are not perfectly straight, or may have different expressions in their eyes and faces...
They are also individually hand-painted so may contain slightly different patterning to the ghost pictured. This means that your ghost will not be exactly the same as the one photographed, as each one is as unique as you are.
All of our ghosts will be sent in a gift box with a Certificate of Authenticity especially for your ghost, and yours alone. These are put in a special envelope sealed with our very own special spooky wax seal.
Different screen resolutions can change the accuracy of the colours slightly, and your ghost may look different from the one pictured due to the handmade nature of these curious creations. Please also note the certificate of authenticity pictured will be unique to your ghost and will contain different information.

All of our clay is weighed equally and individually shaped entirely by hand. Other factors, such as humidity can affect the drying process of the clay, and therefore affect the size of our ghosts as well as the shape.
