The White Cliffs of Dover are an iconic landmark. Formed by tiny planktonic green algae, the cliffs stay white due to their natural erosion. Beside being an important natural habitat, the White Cliffs have been on the first line of defence for Britian from centuries, housing castles such as the infamous Dover Castle, forts and tunnels beneath, making it a hive of paranormal activity.
 
The cliffs were home to a prison in the late 1800s, and in WW1 they were home to the Fan Bay sound mirrors which could detect the sound of incoming enemy aircraft. 
In World War 2, they were the front line of Britain's defence.
The tunnels beneath housed Churchill's war room, hospitals and shelters, whilst above, gun pits disguised in gardens and heavy artillery perched on top bombarded incoming enemy aircraft and ships.
 
It's hardly surprising, then, that there are many tales of ghosts still roaming the cliffs, both above and below the ground.
 
Our White Cliffs ghost is a poignant reminder of the importance of this natural landmark, and the many lives who have been lost on and around it.

Each Kent Coast Ghost is carefully handcrafted from clay and goes through several processes, which include drying, sanding, sealing, painting, and finally varnishing, (dependent on the final finish).
We don't use moulds to create Kentish ghosts; every feature is added by hand using traditional clay tools, and this gives each ghost its own unique features. Some of our ghosts are not perfectly straight, or may have different expressions in their eyes and faces, and each ghost is individually hand-painted so may contain slightly different patterning to the ghost pictured. 
 
All of our ghosts will be sent in a gift box with a Certificate of Authenticity especially for your ghost, and yours alone. These are put in a special envelope sealed with our very own special spooky wax seal ready for the Ghost Post to deliver them to their new Ghost Host!
