embRUDEry's Month in Review - March 2022

Six hand crocheted aliens laying down in the shape of a star. The aliens are in bright neon colours with large black eyes, and are pictured against a background of swirling purple galaxies.
The aliens have landed!

Wait... How is it the end of March already?!

It's been a packed month here at embRUDEry HQ - not only have I been making lots of new things, but I've also been planning my creations ready for the months ahead. My blog has been slightly neglected this month, (sad times), but I'm planning a review of the month from now on so I can catch up with everything and keep you all informed with my ramblings.

So, where shall I start?

Well, the little alien dudes are finally here! It's been a while since I picked up a crochet hook so the month started with a couple of practice projects to get me back into it. It didn't take long - just like riding a bike 😅 Anyway, these little critters are now up for adoption and I have a feeling that they will be a bit of a regular feature as they've already proven to be pretty popular on social media! You can pick one up in the "plushies" section of my website right here.

I'm also working on making lots more free cross stitch patterns available. Keep an eye out, because over the next few weeks I'm going to be making all of my Pride heart patterns available for FREE in the run up to Pride Month in June! I've also got a lot of other patterns that I initially designed for myself to stitch, but just haven't had the time! Whilst I still love doing cross stitch, my heart is with my embroidery right now and I'm looking forward to adding more to the Lucid Dreams Collection, including Harry Warden and Art the Clown.

Exciting times lay ahead - I just got a delivery of air dry clay and I'm embarking on a new 'project' that involves ghosties...! I'm so excited about these - I've done some research and I can't find anything quite like what I want to create, so these really will be unique to embRUDEry. They'll also have their own domain name, but it will link back to the website here because I want to keep them as part of the embRUDEry brand. Keep an eye here for sneak peeks throughout the month of April, and if you sign up to my newsletter at the bottom of the page, not only will you bag yourself 10% off instantly as a thank you, but you'll also be the first to know when the new pieces are released!

I've worked really hard this month to make sure everything stays on track, which means that certain aspects of my social media (and social life haha), have fallen by the wayside a bit, but joining in with #MarchMeetTheMaker over on Instagram and a new #CCabc challenge on Twitter should keep me up to speed!

Don't forget you can also pick up the FREE Ukranian flag heart cross stitch pattern by popping over to my Free Patterns Page. Please feel free to use it to raise money for Ukraine, or gift to a friend in need of a hug! But whatever you do, please don't profit from it 💙💛

I can't thank everyone enough for the support again this year. It's genuinely overwhelming sometimes, but it's what keeps me going and helps me to stay creative, so I'm eternally grateful. Can't wait to show you what's coming up next month, thanks for sticking with me!

Until next time...

Victoria
